Website development, branding & graphic design - Community
Not just about commerce and business ...
JABA is not just all about commerce and business: we have collaborated on many public-sector and government projects driven by volunteers and decision-makers who keep our community strong. Beyond Click! there have been the Centenary of Federation, Rethinking Drinking, Healthy SA, RealJobs Apprenticeship Scheme, Activ8 ... and we produce the Adelaide Thinkers in Residence website for the Department of Premier and Cabinet. We designed branding and created the website for Yorke Peninsula Community Transport … and at the other end of the transport category – the Lockheed-Martin F-35 Lightning Strike Fighter for the Department of Defence.
At JABA we put back into this community of ours by supporting the Little Heroes Foundation, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Variety.
Thinkers in Residence
The Adelaide Thinkers in Residence program is a bold idea. The program brings new ideas into the State and translates them into practical solutions to improve the lives of the people who live here. These residencies have looked at subjects including health, education, water, technology, climate change, transport, design and road safety. JABA developed the website and branding and provides ongoing graphic design and consultancy.

Connecting the Continent
An award winning website, created for the Centenary of Federation. JABA conducted 16 workshops in remote communities along the route of the Overland Telegraph to create the content. A special two week "on-line event" linked characters from the outback with people from all over the world. This production took over six months to complete and was a great success with more than 3 million hits in two weeks.
JABA Multimedia Design worked with Anthony Stone Consultants to produce this CD-ROM, for use within South Australian government departments. The CD contains a training and assessment application that deals with security issues within Electorate Offices around the state. This production was initiated by the South Australian government after a series of security breaches.
Iddy Biddy Kids
At Iddy Biddy Kids, children are encouraged to explore, play, learn and develop in safe, secure and aesthetically pleasing environments which are inclusive and respect the diversity of children's backgrounds (SACSA). Children need space, time, resources and support to practice their developing skills and understandings and reflect on their current knowledge (SACSA). JABA developed the website using the JABA CMS.
The Rethinking Drinking - You're in Control alcohol education video and kit was produced for the Australian Government. It offers a choice of lessons and activities for teachers and provides what is currently missing in terms of cultural understanding and inclusiveness and can be used by all schools. JABA worked with Gabrielle Kelly from Archangel Australia to provide design, art direction and animation services for the project.
Big Wish Bike Ride
JABA sponsored the Big Wish Bike Ride in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. JABA designed and produced a website that featured "on the road" updates during the bike ride from Brisbane to Adelaide via the east coast of Australia. JABA designed support marketing materials and worked with Nine News to integrate live video feeds.

JABA designed the original MusicSA website, funded by ArtsSA and the South Australian Government. JABA has since re-developed the site several times and added new features based on feedback from the South Australian music industry. It is a professionally run, international organisation dedicated to inspiring hope and enriching the lives of children in need under the age of 18. 95% of all money raised in South Australia is allocated to projects within the state. South Australia's Millennium Event, Click! was JABA's first official project. This project had a 2 year build up culminating in 16 simultaneous events across the state on New Year's Eve 2000. Linked via the internet, live images from remote celebrations around the state were transmitted to the giant Clipsal Super Screen in Victoria Square in front of 300,000 people at the very time the world expected the Millennium Bug to wipe out computers.
The Palya Fund, a charitable fund with DGR status, was conceived and brought into being by the members of Ku Arts. They held a conviction that the task of restoring the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities primarily depended on Aboriginal people but would still require assistance from decent minded piranpa (Australians of white skin). The Anangu's language is Pitjantjatjara. JABA designed and produced this content managed website.
