Meet the Team

The skills, experience, loyalty and enthusiasm of JABA’s people working as a team are the keys to our success.

Building relationships with our staff, contractors and clients is very important to us and we’re here not just for the web build but for the long haul. In fact, many of our clients have been with JABA for over a decade and some have been with us since we first started, way back in the year 2000, which is a very long time in the web world.

When we ask our clients why they chose JABA for their web design and web development, many of them say that what really made the difference was our people. This makes us very happy. Because we — every single one of us — really do love what we do and we’re glad that it shows.

Adrian Adams - Founder and Creative Director

Design | Functionality | Passion

As one of Adelaide’s pre-eminent creative designers, Adrian's career highlights include the 2000 Sydney Olympics where he led the way with graphic design, web design and interactive speaker supports. Other highlights include multiple Adelaide Festival campaigns, Click The Millenium Event and he won a Centenary Medal for the Connecting the Continent project. Adrian’s experience in creative multimedia brings the perfect balance of design and functionality.
 

Adrian Adams / Founder & Creative Director - Since launching his studio in the 1980's Adrian has led the way in the evolution of digital design: from CD-ROM technology (winning the Adelaide Art Directors Master's Chair and the ATOM Award for best educational product) to website development, to the ‘new-web’ era of mobile Responsive Design and Progressive Web Apps.

Serina Chan- Financial Manager

Warm | Competent | Supportive

Serina grew up in Hong Kong and was educated and trained in the U.S.  A former CPA, she possesses strong accounting and financial skills and brings financial discipline to JABA. She is passionate about helping JABA achieve its business goals and growth targets. With an eye for details, due diligence for accuracy and a warm personality, she looks forward to liaising with clients and creditors on invoices, payments and other financial matters. 

Jai Boekhout - Project Manager / Web Designer

Generating ideas | Problem-solving | Team player

Jai Boekhout, a UX designer from the Netherlands. Having completed a Bachelor's in Communication & Multimedia Design in the Netherlands, and an advanced diploma in UX design, Project management, and digital marketing here in Australia, Jai is a creative powerhouse. He excels in generating innovative ideas, analysing customer problems, and crafting prototypes for user testing. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence, Jai is dedicated to developing creative solutions that exceed expectations. His vision for user-centric design drives the development of products that seamlessly blend with functionality, making him an invaluable asset to any team.

Suren Maharjan - Software Developer

Innovative | Meticulous | Adaptable

Suren is a passionate Web Developer at JABA Web Design, specialising in building Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) and e-commerce websites. With a love for Linux and vim, he’s always looking for ways to optimise his development environment and improve workflows. Suren’s expertise spans both frontend and backend development, maintaining SQL Server databases, Azure virtual machines, and ensuring smooth operations for client websites. His enthusiasm for problem-solving, combined with a knack for learning new technologies like blockchain, makes him a valuable part of the team.

James Jiang – Software Developer

Eager | Skilled | Growing

A new member of the JABA team, James brings impressive credentials and practical experience to his role as Software Developer. Currently studying a Masters of IT and with a Computer Science degree already under his belt, his real-world experience has put his programming, web-building and systems skills to excellent use. With a strong teamwork ethic and a genuine passion for the work. James’ enthusiasm for continuous learning and broad skills-set truly compliments the fast-paced JABA environment.

Jack Adams - Technical Producer

Systems | Strategy | Execution

Jack is a Technical Producer at JABA, specialising in the delivery of complex digital projects across web platforms, infrastructure, and emerging AI technologies. He works at the intersection of strategy, technical architecture, and execution, translating client requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

With hands-on experience across front-end and back-end systems, hosting and DNS infrastructure, e-commerce platforms, and production testing, Jack focuses on building systems that are reliable, maintainable, and fit for real-world use. His strength lies in problem-solving, technical coordination, and ensuring projects move from concept to deployment efficiently and effectively.

JC Shin - Technical Consultant

Detail | Precision | Patience

JC has a passion and an expertise for web/app development, software architectural design, and the implementation and integration of enterprise solutions that’s second to none. A Microsoft-Certified Solution Developer with decades of experience in React.js, .NET, C#, Angular and Vue.js platforms, he heads up our team of in-house software engineers. He’s also the brains behind the development of our unique CMS which makes it so easy for JABA clients to manage their own website.

Alan Rosewarne – Copywriter

Perspective | Creative | Impact

With real-world experience nurtured in the finance-insurance, grocery and manufacturing sectors, Alan moved into marketing communications as a director of Clemenger Adelaide, and then onto senior national management roles with DDB and Total Brand Management, as well as a period running his own agency. Always seeking a creative edge, his writing reflects wide business experience and a deep appreciation of the mind and mood of the consumer.

Sam Adams - Web Designer

Fast | Imagination | Creative

Sam is the youngest son of JABA founder Adrian and he is a welcome addition to our design and creative team. He is super fast in the JABA CMS, he should be because he designed and created the detailed Learning & Support modules found in the top right corner of the CMS. In his spare time he is an elite gamer and that is where he gets the super fast hand/eye coordination from along with an acute sense of detail.
 

Rob Bath - Copywriter

Writing | Detail | Experience

Rob’s worked in creative project management and communications within the arts, media, agriculture, construction, local government, recreation and education fields and now specialises in editing and copywriting for any audience or market. The art – the science – of copywriting now is to appeal to each of those targeted audiences in language that is specific, familiar and easily digestible without causing offence or creating confusion to any other reader in the broader market.
 

Myd Crabtree - Filmaker & UAV Pilot

Camera | Angle | Aerial

Myd Crabtree is an industry veteran with over 20 years’ experience in film and television production. An accomplished camera operator and editor he has now added UAV piloting to his diverse skill set. His credits include documentaries, current affairs, corporate and fashion videos, TVCs, music clips and independent film projects. With a discerning eye and resourceful approach, no challenge is too great in his pursuit of that perfect shot. 

Martin Adams - Wordpress PWA Developer

Animator | Illustrator | Designer

Martin Adams is contracted to work with JABA when clients specifically want to use WordPress for a project with the benefits of being a PWA. Martin is the younger brother of JABA founder Adrian and he has a good understanding of the team process used at JABA. He is more than just a WordPress developer with amazing skills to develop digital animations for use on websites. 

Adam Lee - Photographer

Focussed | Wildlife | Studio

Adam Lee is an expert wildlife photographer but he also has a passion for vintage aeroplanes and tractors. He has also worked with JABA to produce studio photography including the entire product range from Scunci, an international hair accessory brand. Adam also provides high quality printing services for art prints and displays.
