JABA has been creating digital solutions since the new millennium in 2000. We ushered-in the new era by bringing together the whole of South Australia through the Millennium Event, Click! – linking live images from regional celebrations across the state via internet to the giant Clipsal super screen in front of 300,000 people in Victoria Square. The internet was still "new" then and delivering the live images was a massive feat involving support from Telstra, Internode and Apple.
Over the last 19 years JABA has always been focussed on delivering the latest in website design, providing creative and technical web design solutions in conjunction with award winning graphic design, iconic branding, outstanding photography and videography and much more.
JABA has developed its latest content management system (CMS) to build and manage our website developments and progressive web apps. Our design studio is located at 167 Gilles Street, Adelaide SA 5000, where our team develops digital platforms for our happy clients.
In 2001 the South Australian Government awarded JABA a grant to work in the newly formed Innovation Centre in Adelaide with Microsoft as a partner to produce a content management system for their website. Today most websites have a CMS but back then this was new and considered an "innovative" development. After 6 months of work with Microsoft Australia, JABA released a website for Artlab - a government supported company that restores artworks and more for the museum and art gallery. This site was content managed using JABA CMSv1 and 12 months later JABA released CMSv2 which formed the backbone of JABA sites for the next 8 years.
Since then JABA has developed an additional four CMS versions, each catering to the latest developments in the industry. Our latest CMSv6 is an ultra-fast and very easy to use WYSIWYG (what you see, is what you get) system and allows our clients to perfectly manage their Progressive Web App Developments.
Projects and events we have been involved in include, the Sydney Olympics, Adelaide Festival, Network Ten, Microsoft, EDS, Bridgestone, Vidal Sassoon, Adelaide Brighton Cement, Adelaide Thinkers in Residence, Seafront Resort Kangaroo Island, South Australian State Government, Adelaide Crows, South Adelaide, Glenelg and North Adelaide football clubs, Conair and so many more.
JABA’s regional tourism websites – think Kangaroo Island, Destination Riverland, Fleurieu Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula and the Adelaide Beaches – and those for individual tourism operators Kangaroo Island Seafront Resort, Bishop’s Adelaide Hills, Diverse Travel, KI Discovery Tours and others – have helped put our State back on the ‘destination’ map. In most cases, JABA has also developed some brands and produced photographic content. As an approved web design business for integration with ATDW in Australia, we continue to be the preferred option for many tourism operators.
We pride ourselves on delivering perfect-fit web design solutions that respond to our client’s brief, across the full range of small business, corporate and government. We have worked with sporting organisations such as the Adelaide Crows, Adelaide 36ers, Adelaide Lightning, Goodwill Games, South Sydney Football Club, South Adelaide FC, North Adelaide FC and Glenelg FC providing a range of services including web design, brand design and graphic design.
JABA has a unique perspective on the wine industry, having worked in, with and for, so many of its sectors. Since 2000 we have worked with BRL Hardy to operate the pioneering site Winebytes; and with Banrock Station to create an interactive virtual-vintner tour. Then follows sites for great labels Heartland, Glaetzer Wines, Gipsie Jack’s and Wirra Wirra. JABA has also developed sophisticated software for Wine Australia that hosts media rich, interactive presentations in multiple languages. JABA designed the website for Barossa Valley Wine and Tourism and Winestate magazine, Australia's iconic wine publication. JABA also manages websites for small business local wineries across South Australia.
JABA and the new millennium were launched simultaneously in 2000, as we ushered-in the new era by bringing together the whole of South Australia through the Millennium Event, Click! – linking live images from celebrations across the state via internet to the giant Clipsal super screen in front of 300,000 people.
