AdaptWest

As a start up organisation the Charles Sturt, Port Adelaide Enfield and West Torrens Councils sought a new website to promote their environmental ambitions.

The AdaptWest project founded on the Climate Change Adaptation Plan developed by the Western Alliance in 2016 required a first ever website. AdaptWest required JABA’s consultation throughout the process of developing their brand, content and website. The project included the development of AdaptWest's branding and style, which utilises beautiful blue and yellow themes symbolising hot and cold temperatures. The website design included content development for copywriting that was specifically tailored to the AdaptWest project along with other projects within the Western Alliance region for 2019 and beyond. The website design was customised to reflect the branding developed by JABA. The website design is uplifting and promotes user engagement and community involvement. Customised features include the addition of a Google Translator feature to enable all individuals within the local community to get involved. The website development project also involved a live feed urban heat map and thermal imaging of the Western Alliance region. This unique feature helps users understand in real time the severity of the climate issues that the Western Alliance faces.
