The Problem

Alliance Metal Solutions had a website they genuinely liked: clean design, a clear presentation of their in-house capabilities and their long-term commitment to customers. The problem was everything behind it. Every time Shane or Sean needed to update a service page, add project photos or refresh team bios, WordPress made it clunky and time-consuming. Plugin conflicts, slow load times and a complex editing workflow meant simple updates turned into a job nobody wanted to do. What JABA Built

JABA studied the existing design in detail, colours, fonts and imagery, then rebuilt the front end as a Progressive Web App so the updated site felt instantly familiar to returning visitors. Behind the scenes the WordPress backend was retired entirely and replaced with JABA's bespoke CMSv7, whose intuitive editor lets non-technical users add pages, upload photos, update equipment specifications and post news in seconds. The menu and product filters were restructured at the same time, making it faster for customers to find the right service across AMS's machining, fabrication and finishing capabilities. All existing content was migrated across, and a hands-on training session with Shane and Sean handed over full control of the site.

 

What Was Technically Interesting

The interesting constraint here was that nothing was allowed to look different. A rebuild that changes the design is straightforward; matching an existing front end pixel for pixel while replacing the entire platform underneath it is harder, and it meant returning customers experienced the speed improvement without ever noticing a migration had happened. PWA technology drove page load times down to under one second on both desktop and mobile, and because the site now works offline and prompts users to add it to their home screen, it behaves like an app without the cost of building one. Removing WordPress also removed an entire category of ongoing risk: no plugin conflicts, no security patch cycle, no dependency on third-party extensions continuing to be maintained. The platform is built to extend, with room for features like live job tracking or AI-powered quoting tools as AMS grows.
