Cuisinart | Progressive Web App & Online Shop
The new Cuisinart PWA has been designed to encourage users to "Love the art of cooking" and features customised lifestyle photography, great recipes using Cuisinart products, Bazaar Voice reviews and more.
Project Snapshot
- Client: Cuisinart (Conair Australia)
- Industry: Kitchen Appliances, E-commerce
- Market: Australia & New Zealand
- Services Delivered: PWA Development, Online Shop, Lifestyle Photography
- Standout Feature: Custom back-end product database covering the full AU/NZ range
The Problem
Cuisinart's previous website was basic, and no longer reflected the quality or lifestyle appeal of the brand. With a full range of kitchen products sold across both Australia and New Zealand, Cuisinart needed a platform that could present detailed product information quickly and clearly, without losing the warmth and style associated with cooking, while also giving the Conair team an easier way to manage and update the growing product catalogue themselves.
What JABA Built
JABA produced the Cuisinart PWA in 2020, a major upgrade from the previous basic site. The new PWA has been designed to encourage users to "Love the art of cooking," featuring customised lifestyle photography and great recipes using Cuisinart products, bringing the brand's personality into the browsing experience rather than just listing specifications.
The site features detailed information on all Cuisinart products available in Australia and New Zealand, with each product also integrated with Bazaar Voice reviews, giving customers trusted feedback at the point of decision.
What Was Technically Interesting
JABA created a customised new back-end that is easy to use and allows the Conair team to add new products and edit existing ones directly in the database, without needing a developer for routine catalogue updates. This was built specifically to handle the scale of managing a full product range across two markets, while still delivering pages that load faster and present information more clearly than most competitors.
Business Outcome
The Cuisinart PWA delivers information faster and easier than most competitors, but does it with style, giving the brand a genuine point of difference in a category where most competitor sites are purely functional. The move from a basic site to a full PWA has given Cuisinart a platform built to support its full AU/NZ product range well beyond the original 2020 launch.
Why JABA Was Chosen
Having already delivered a large-scale PWA for sister brand VS Sassoon, JABA brought proven experience managing Conair's product-heavy, multi-market e-commerce needs to the Cuisinart project. That track record made JABA a natural choice to take Cuisinart from a basic site to a state-of-the-art platform capable of showcasing the full range with style.
