The Problem

Gig economy drivers work independently, on their own schedules, usually from a phone, and without the structured safety training that employed drivers receive. DriverPro Academy set out to close that gap with a Safe Gig Driving Course, but delivering it required more than a website. The platform had to sell the course to a self-funding audience, take payment, deliver video-based training reliably on mobile, verify that drivers had actually absorbed the material rather than clicking through it, and issue certification that genuinely means something. Off-the-shelf learning platforms tend to solve one of those problems well and the rest poorly.

 

What JABA Built

JABA designed and developed the complete digital solution: the PWA website experience, the user flow, secure member access, online payments, course progression logic, quiz and assessment functionality and the certificate generation system. The platform combines a powerful mobile app experience with a JABA Progressive Web App wrapper, creating an SEO-friendly online presence that explains the course and drives enrolments while giving enrolled users access to their training across desktop and mobile. Drivers enrol online, purchase access, and work through a structured series of video-based lessons. Each lesson ends in a multiple-choice assessment, and a pass mark of 80% or higher is required before the next stage unlocks. On completing the full program, the system automatically generates a downloadable certificate confirming the driver has completed the DriverPro Academy Safe Gig Driving Course.

 

What Was Technically Interesting

Two separate jobs sit inside this platform and they pull in opposite directions. The public-facing side needs to be fast, SEO-friendly and persuasive enough to convert a visitor into a paying enrolment. The member side needs secure authentication, payment handling, stateful progress tracking and assessment logic that cannot be bypassed. The PWA wrapper lets both live in one integrated solution rather than as a marketing site bolted onto a third-party course tool, which is the usual compromise. The progression logic is the part that carries the platform's credibility: gating each stage behind an 80% pass mark means the certificate at the end reflects demonstrated understanding, not just time spent. Automating certificate generation removes the manual administration that would otherwise scale badly as enrolments grow, and the whole system is built to handle that growth without additional overhead.

DriverPro Academy has a platform that takes a driver from first search through to certified completion without manual intervention at any point.
